Muhammadu Buhari has revealed that his government is currently
negotiating with the Boko Haram insurgents for the release of the
remaining Chibok girls.
NAIJ.com reports that the girls were kidnapped from their school in 2014 while they were preparing for an examination.
Since then, some of the girls have been rescued while the government has been able to negotiate the release of some other girls.
As Nigeria marked the third year of the
abduction of the girls by the insurgents, Buhari said he shared the
pains the parents have had to go through since the children’s
disappearance.
